Meet Laura Powell!

Laura’s earliest memories of Disney go back to Sunday evenings and the Magical World of Disney Movies with the whole family. Her first trip to the Magic Kingdom was at the age of 7 she recalls her dad ‘talking’ her into going on the Haunted Mansion much to her dismay…she was TERRIFIED (now it is one of her favorites!) her brother was so scared he couldn’t even scream on Space Mountain (she giggled through the whole ride…and still does today!), riding 20,000 Leagues under the Sea and watching the Main Street Electrical Light Parade.

And she is not the only Disney fan in the family… Laura’s husband Richard and their three children Rich, Conrad and Madeline are also self-proclaimed Disney Fanatics! From catching their first fish at Fort Wilderness with grandpa, being ‘conned’ into riding Expedition Everest (in exchange for a stuffed Yeti) and dancing with Jiminy Cricket in the streets of Fantasyland, their first memories are nothing short of magical for us all to remember!

Sharing these moments with friends and families throughout the years and helping others make their own memories with tips and tricks from her 12 trips to Walt Disney World inspired Laura to become a travel advisor. She graduated from the Disney College of Knowledge in June of 2022. While she specializes in all things Disney, Laura loves to travel and has visited many destinations domestically as well as the Bahamas, Europe on a 12-day cruise through the Baltic Sea and even Thailand with only a backpack for a week-long trip.

She is very excited to join the Destination Wonderland family, to share her love of adventure, passion for Disney and to help make your family’s dream vacation come true!
